Kevin has served on the General Council for 15 years as Chairperson for the past 12 years and was appointed CEO over 2 years ago. Kevin has worked in a number of senior capacities for several blue-chip companies across several sectors and is currently Strategic Partnerships Manager at Nest. With a passionate belief that BASDA has a crucial role to play in the business software industry, punching well above its weight, Kevin is committed to delivering incremental value to members including a more diverse and representative General Council.<\/p>\n

Peter has been a General Council member for 15 years and Finance Director for the last 12 years. He spent nearly 25 years as Managing Director of a very successful software company before taking on added responsibilities within BASDA. Being passionate about BASDA, his company has made an enormous contribution for its size over the years, and had an excellent payback.<\/p>\n

Liam has worked in Finance for over 20 years and has been with Access\/COINS since 2017. He has extensive experience in many aspects of finance software including VAT, Payroll, Reporting, Shared Services and Software implementations. Liam was appointed to the BASDA General Council in October 2019 and is looking forward to working across new projects in this role. Liam is Chairperson of the\u00a0Construction SIG<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Helen has over 20 years\u2019 experience of working within the Financial Services Industry in a variety of business development, marketing and management roles.\u00a0 As MD of Digital Marketing Agency, All Things Web\u00ae she has supported BASDA as its marketing partner for 5 years and, in her role as a member of the General Council, brings valuable insights and experience to BASDA members on Marketing, Lead Generation and the Digital landscape.<\/p>\n

With over 20 years of combined accountancy and software experience along with working with HMRC and Companies House on a regular basis, Stuart is a strong supporter of digital transformation and an advocate for tax technology.\u00a0 Stuart was the Co-Chairperson of the Accountants in Practice SIG<\/a>.\u00a0 Stuart was appointed to the BASDA General Council in May 2022 and plays a pivotal role to assist BASDA members in getting their voices heard as Making Tax Digital is rolled out by HMRC.<\/p>\n

A committed champion of diversity and inclusion, Carol works with businesses and education partners to strengthen industry talent pipelines. Her career spans senior finance roles with major house builders and civil engineering contractors, followed by 18 years in construction technology, where she delivered implementations and strategic partnerships for leading software providers, supporting many of the UK\u2019s top construction firms.<\/p>\n

An engineer at heart, Steve has worked in the software industry for over 40 years in a wide range of roles, from start-up founder to CEO.\u00a0 Steve is currently engaged with SaaS HR provider, BrightHR, where he is helping them strengthen and expand their new UK payroll offering.\u00a0 Steve is an open-source author and a strong advocate of automation in business and, as such, is committed to helping BASDA members deliver greater value to their clients through integration, collaboration and automation. Steve was appointed Co-Chairperson of the Payroll, Pensions and HR SIG in February 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n

With over 10 years of experience in the software industry, specialising in payroll and accountancy, Adam is responsible for product strategy, roadmap planning and compliance, championing innovation, efficiencies and automation. Adam was appointed Co-Chairperson of the Payroll, Pensions and HR SIG in January 2024 and has previously held the Vice Chairperson role since 2021. Appointed to the General Council in June 2023, he uses his insights and knowledge in payroll and software development to contribute to the aims & objectives of BASDA.<\/p>\n

Kevin began his career as an accountant and tax adviser with Arthur Andersen, before moving into technology creating payment systems in the early 2000s, and working in central government.<\/p>\n

He set up untied in 2018 to offer innovative streamlined filing to HMRC ahead of Making Tax Digital for Income Tax. Kevin sits on the Administrative Burdens Advisory Board (ABAB) and represents BASDA members through HMRC’s Agents Digital Design Advisory Group (ADDAG), and the Strategic Software Forum (SSF).<\/p>\n
