{"id":2162,"date":"2013-08-07T16:15:45","date_gmt":"2013-08-07T16:15:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/atwdev.co.uk\/basda\/?p=1020"},"modified":"2020-01-29T11:41:46","modified_gmt":"2020-01-29T11:41:46","slug":"hm-government-changes-to-online-security-basda-ida-working-party-helps-to-shape-strategy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/atwdev.co.uk\/basda\/blog\/hm-government-changes-to-online-security-basda-ida-working-party-helps-to-shape-strategy\/","title":{"rendered":"HM Government changes to online security \u2013 BASDA IDA Working Party helps to shape strategy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/atwdev.co.uk\/basda\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/Barcode-head.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-553\" src=\"https:\/\/atwdev.co.uk\/basda\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/Barcode-head-300x100.jpg\" alt=\"Barcode head\" width=\"300\" height=\"100\" \/><\/a>The forthcoming implementation of Identity Assurance is the biggest change to the way that we, as software developers, help our customers to submit forms to HMRC.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In stages, starting from\u00a0October 2014, services that currently rely upon the Government Gateway are going to be transferred to the new process at the start of their submission cycle.<\/p>\n<p>BASDA are now engaged directly with the Cabinet Office at a strategic level, as well as the on-going work with HMRC regarding the prospective implementation level.<\/p>\n<p>The Cabinet Office would like to draw upon BASDA members\u2019 collective expertise to formulate terms of engagement and shape both business-to-government along with authority management requirements plus the core (IDA) service development.<\/p>\n<p>Further meetings with the Cabinet Office are scheduled within the next few weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Kevin Hart, BASDA Chairman emphasises the important role BASDA has to play in influencing the operational systems and interface with HMRC:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe introduction of Identify Assurance will affect all members\u2019 systems that work with HMRC and Companies House. BASDA, through the IDA working party, now has the greatest opportunity to help shape the strategy which we, as software developers, will then need to implement.
