{"id":3799,"date":"2018-03-13T10:59:44","date_gmt":"2018-03-13T10:59:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/atwdev.co.uk\/basda\/?p=3799"},"modified":"2023-02-23T15:58:31","modified_gmt":"2023-02-23T15:58:31","slug":"accountex-visitor-registration-off-to-a-flying-start","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/atwdev.co.uk\/basda\/blog\/accountex-visitor-registration-off-to-a-flying-start\/","title":{"rendered":"Accountex visitor registration off to a flying start"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3802 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/atwdev.co.uk\/basda\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/ACX-banners-300x250-300x250.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"122\" height=\"102\" \/>16 theatres, 150 expert speakers, over 180 CPD-accredited Keynotes, seminars and workshops and 200 exhibitors \u2013 that\u2019s the compelling line-up that awaits the 7,000+ attendees preparing to visit Accountex 2018 \u2013 the UK\u2019s flagship event for the accountancy and finance profession.<\/p>\n<p>Back at ExCeL London on 23-24 May, the 2018 event will be its biggest yet.\u00a0 Reflecting the show\u2019s enormous breadth of appeal, in the past few weeks (since online registrations officially opened) over 2,400 accountants, finance directors, accounts managers, tax professionals, heads of IT, bookkeepers, and sole practitioners (working in practice, industry, and the public sector) have already added their names to the visitor list.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>For them, Accountex is the \u201cmust attend\u201d event for discovering the best new products, tools, solutions, insights and innovations of the year.\u00a0 It\u2019s also the only UK event that annually attracts so many industry thought leaders together in one place at one time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur exhibitors and speakers include many of the profession\u2019s leading innovators and key thinkers.\u00a0 They are constantly evolving and developing their products, technologies, business solutions and strategies to meet the changing needs of their customers and clients,\u201d explains event director Zoe Lacey-Cooper.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re confident in saying that every new innovation and best practice\/working solution that our visitors need to know about will be at Accountex London this May,\u201d she says, \u201cthat\u2019s what makes it such a valuable and productive two days for everyone involved.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>Accountex Confirmed Speakers<\/h3>\n<p>Among the recently confirmed speakers are Carl Reader, small business advisor and author of <em>The Startup Coach<\/em> and <em>The Franchising Handbook<\/em>; accountancy futurist Chris Hooper, CEO of Accodex; entrepreneur Caroline Plumb OBE, founder of Fluidly; marketing consultant Amanda C Watts; Anne Davis, head of regulation and policy for the IFA; Gordon Gilchrist and Ian Fletcher from 2020 Innovation; Samantha Mann, senior policy and research officer at CIPP; Tony Margaritelli, chairman of the ICPA; and John Stokdyk, global editor of <em>AccountingWEB<\/em>.<\/p>\n<h3>Dedicated Theatres<\/h3>\n<p>While Sage, Wolters Kluwer, QuickBooks, ACCA, FUTRLI, MyFirmsApp, TaxCalc, and Effective Pricing Mark Wickersham, will all be hosting content in their own dedicated theatres.<\/p>\n<p>New features include the Tech Demo Theatre, Practice &amp; Compliance Theatre, Future &amp; Development Theatre (sponsored by Receipt Bank), and Sales &amp; Marketing Theatre.\u00a0 The returning Keynote Theatre (sponsored by Compleat Software), is now one of a pair.\u00a0 The introduction of a second Keynote stage now enables the show to cater for a significantly bigger audience (with plenty of capacity between them for this year\u2019s big name draws).<\/p>\n<p>Of course, the \u2018big names\u2019 aren\u2019t just reserved for the theatres.\u00a0 The central exhibition will feature around 200 companies \u2013 including Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent, TaxCalc, Wolters Kluwer, IRIS, Compleat Software and Receipt Bank.<\/p>\n<h3>Get your Accountex Tickets<\/h3>\n<p>Accountex takes place at London ExCeL on 23-24 May.\u00a0 Attending is free and all Keynotes and seminars (in the show\u2019s 18 theatres) are allocated on a first come, first served basis.<\/p>\n<p>For further information, and to register for a free ticket to attend, please visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.accountex.co.uk\">www.accountex.co.uk<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Join BASDA<\/h3>\n<p>Are you are business software application developer?
