I hope you find it useful and please do get in touch if you have any questions.<\/p>\n<p>James, MD, Working Knowledge<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left;\">There could be as much as \u00a314,750 in extra incentives for apprenticeships,\u00a0 your business could take advantage of if you take on a new employee right now<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #006d7e;\"><a style=\"color: #006d7e;\" href=\"https:\/\/feweek.co.uk\/2021\/02\/26\/sunak-plans-major-boost-to-apprenticeship-employer-incentives\/\">Rishi Sunak&#8217;s Covid-19 incentives for employing an apprentice will increase from \u00a32,000 to \u00a33,000 from <strong>1st April to<\/strong><strong> 30th September 2021, <\/strong>regardless of age<\/a><\/span>. If they happen to be 18 or under on the day they start (they could be 19 the day after!), you get an additional <strong>\u00a31,000<\/strong>. You also don&#8217;t pay employers National Insurance for apprentices under 25 so that&#8217;s a saving of <strong>c. <\/strong><strong>\u00a31,300.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Also, if your employee is on an apprenticeship, the <strong>government covers 95% of the training cost<\/strong>. In the case of Marketing , the government sets the training costs at <strong>\u00a311,000<\/strong>, so the government contribution is <strong>\u00a310,450<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>\u00a33,000 covid-19 incentive<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>c. \u00a31,300 Employer&#8217;s NIC waiver<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>\u00a31,000 18 yo bonus<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>\u00a310,450 worth of training<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>That&#8217;s up to <strong>\u00a314,750<\/strong> of incentives for an apprentice over the age of 18, and <strong>\u00a315,750<\/strong> for an apprentice who is 18 or under.
